INEOS Britannia Look For Performance Edge Through ISOBAR Compression Sportswear.
INEOS Britannia have joined forces with Isobar Compression, the pioneering compression technology company, ahead of this year’s 37th America's Cup.
ISOBAR will provide technologically advanced, custom compression solutions for the elite sailing team throughout the forthcoming event.
The Manchester based company exploded onto the sports scene in 2024 by securing partnerships with British Cycling, INEOS Grenadiers Cycling Team, and INEOS Britannia with top-flight Premier League club partnerships also on the horizon.
I am delighted that ISOBAR are supporting us on our journey as we prepare for competition. Having their cutting-edge compression products available for the team will be vital in supporting the cyclors during competition. During the pre-start period, our team must perform multiple high-intensity anaerobic efforts when the boats are jockeying for position. The front-loaded race demands include sub-threshold efforts during straight-line sailing interspersed with high-intensity anaerobic bursts while manoeuvring. The fact the team will have the best custom compression garments that support them to perform at their best can play a pivotal role in our success. I look forward to working with ISOBAR in the build up to and during competition.
ISOBAR’s compression wear is not only at the forefront of performance technology but is also among the most sustainable in the industry. ISOBAR has developed an advanced on-demand manufacturing process, which uses sustainable materials wherever possible. This approach significantly reduces waste and produces environmentally responsible products.
Until now, access to ISOBAR’s custom compression wear has been limited to those who were able to attend an ISOBAR clinic for a 3D scan. Although mobile app scanning technology has been used for a little while in the fashion industry, it has not been sufficiently accurate or reliable for precision compression wear.
ISOBAR development engineers have now achieved a major breakthrough in mobile app scanning technology, allowing anyone to benefit from ISOBAR custom compression therapy. Users can now take a simple video of their legs on their mobile phones, 3D models are then created from more than 250,000 data points, from which custom compression wear is manufactured. While professional athletes are scanned in person as part of a broader performance service, consumers can now create an ‘ISOBAR Fit’ and order custom compression wear directly from their phones.
